Routine Videos

Record and share routine videos for two main uses: let families watch from anywhere, and help judges and coaches review routines after the meet.

Record videos right from the scoring app

Judges record routine videos using Judges Companion during the meet. Videos link to the right gymnast, apparatus, and scores all by themselves.

  • Record videos in Judges Companion: tap record when a routine starts
  • Videos link by themselves: each video connects to the right gymnast, apparatus, and session
  • Works with the start list: videos match the meet schedule by themselves
  • Save and upload: videos save on the device and upload when internet is available

Families watch routines from anywhere

Once videos are published, families and spectators can watch routines on their phones or computers. They see the routine with the score right next to it.

  • Watch from anywhere: families use the Gym Art app or website to view videos
  • See scores with videos: each video shows the gymnast's score for that routine
  • Watch past meets: families can view videos from previous competitions too
  • Share with friends: families can share links to specific routines

Control who can see the videos

You decide when videos go live and who can watch them. You can protect videos with a password or make them public.

  • Turn videos on or off: choose when to show videos to spectators
  • Add password protection: require a password to view videos if you want
  • Control by level: show videos for some levels but not others
  • Change anytime: update video settings during or after the meet

Videos help judges and coaches review routines

Judges and coaches can review videos to check scores or help gymnasts improve. Videos stay linked to scores for easy reference.

  • Review scores: judges can watch videos to double-check scoring decisions
  • Help gymnasts improve: coaches and gymnasts can study routines after the meet
  • Linked to scores: each video shows with its score for easy reference
  • Keep for later: videos are saved so you can watch them anytime

How it works

Recording and sharing videos is simple. Judges record during the meet, videos upload by themselves, and you control when spectators can watch.

  • Step 1: Turn on video recording in your meet settings before the competition starts
  • Step 2: Judges record videos using Judges Companion during each routine
  • Step 3: Videos upload by themselves when judges have internet connection
  • Step 4: Choose when to show videos to spectators in your meet settings
  • Step 5: Families and spectators watch videos in the Gym Art app or website
How it works

Videos link to scores by themselves

The system connects each video to the right gymnast, apparatus, and score all by itself. You don't need to match them up by hand.

  • Automatic linking: videos connect to scores based on the start list
  • Automatic organization: videos are sorted by gymnast, apparatus, and session
  • Automatic upload: videos save locally and upload when connection is available
  • Automatic display: videos appear with scores in the app and website
  • No manual work: you don't need to tag or organize videos yourself
